How it behaves in the disposer

Coffee grounds are soft tissue with plenty of water inside, so there is little resistance to the grind. One grinding stage is enough, and nothing is left behind in the trap. In small amounts they go down without trouble; the risk is letting them build up, because they settle in the trap like sand. A little at a time, with plenty of water. With plenty of cold water. With that one precaution it becomes an ordinary scrap.
