Sizes
How much room it takes under the sink.
The measurements are those stated by the Italian distributor. Inside the cabinet you also have to allow for the trap and for the waste connection.
The sink waste is the standard 90 mm (3-1/2") one. For 14 cm square wastes there is a dedicated flange; for stone or marble sinks, an extended flange.
Dimensions for 550 SR, 700 SR, 750 SR, 1000 SR: the distributor does not publish them yet. We are asking Rieko and will send them on request.
Connections
Four things to allow for.
Waste
38 mm (1-1/2") connection with a cushioned slip joint; on the 1000 EC with an anti-vibration hose clamp.
Dishwasher
The inlet is ready on the EC models and the LC 50; on the 460 SR it has to be drilled before connecting. On the other SR models the figure is being confirmed with the distributor.
Power supply
220 to 240 V, 50-60 Hz, Schuko socket under the sink. The socket has to be allowed for at design stage.
Control
A chrome air switch is included with every domestic model (not with the LC 50). Alternatively a remote control or an under-sink bracket, neither of which needs holes in the worktop.

Supply and installation of an under-sink food waste disposer, InSinkErator brand, model ______, power ______ HP, grinding chamber ______ ml, ______ grinding stages. Connection to the 90 mm (3-1/2") sink waste with a 38 mm (1-1/2") joint; dishwasher inlet ready; power supply 220 to 240 V, 50-60 Hz, on a dedicated socket under the sink; control by air switch on the worktop or, depending on the project, by remote control or under-sink bracket. Included: check of the existing space and waste, commissioning test, instructions for use and warranty registration. Excluded: builders work and electrical provisions not already in place.
This is a working draft: the clause to go into the specification is agreed on the project.
Before fitting
The site check is not optional.
- The actual room in the cabinet, with the trap and any dishwasher waste already in place.
- A power socket within reach of the appliance cable.
- Where the control goes: on the worktop, on the wall, or with no holes at all, depending on the planned worktop.
- The conditions at the address and the notification to the water utility, as required by article 107(3).
