How it behaves in the disposer

Cured meat fat, lard, rind: the disposer is not the problem, because the fat sets further along, where nobody can see it. It would never reach fine particles in the chamber: it would sit in the trap, or further along where the pipe narrows. Lard, rind and ham fat are rubbery and full of fat: they do not grind well and the fat stays in the pipes. It's fat: it goes in the food waste bin. The right route is the food waste bin, with the rest of the kitchen scraps.
