How it behaves in the disposer

Peach pits: the hard part is the one a disposer handles best, because the chamber works by impact and not by cutting. It takes more than one stage: the first breaks, the second reduces, and only then does it flow away. The stone is hard and rattles as it turns in the chamber: that is normal. One at a time, and wait for the sound to settle before adding anything else. One at a time, with the cold water running. Beyond that, it is one of the scraps a disposer deals with every day.
