How it behaves in the disposer

Apple and pear peels: the disposer is on home ground here, because soft pulp gives way at once. A few turns in the chamber are enough: the grind comes out fine and leaves with the cold water. Thin peels tend to stick together into a compact layer: mixed with firmer scraps they grind better than on their own. A few at a time, mixed with other scraps. Beyond that, it is one of the scraps a disposer deals with every day.
